Identification note: Exact KM/Y catalog number and precise specifications not confirmed from photos; edge type not visible. | The coin is clearly the Japan 5 Yen brass New Constitution commemorative: obverse dove of peace with cherry blossoms and date 昭和二十三年 (Showa 23 = 1948); reverse National Diet Building with value 五円. Those attributes uniquely match the single-year 1948 commemorative type struck by the Japan Mint. However, the exact Krause-Mishler (KM) catalog number and any possible edge/specification subtype cannot be confirmed from the provided evidence, so the specific KM number remains unverified.
