Identification note: India’s 2 Rupees notes of this design were issued over many years with multiple governors/signatures and inset letters; without a clear signature close‑up the exact Pick number cannot be assigned. | Design and issuer match the RBI 2 Rupees Aryabhata satellite type (ND 1976–1995): Ashoka Lion Capital at right on obverse, RBI titles, watermark window at left, and reverse showing Earth with the Aryabhata satellite and large TWO RUPEES legend. No printed date appears on this type, consistent with P-86 issues. The exact subtype depends on governor’s signature and inset letter/shape, which are not clearly identified from the provided evidence; the serial prefix '79M' alone does not fix a Pick suffix. Therefore, the general P-86 type is appropriate, but the specific lettered variety remains unverified.
