K Kienast 152 - "Married in War" Commemorative Medal (1914)
A poignant wartime marriage medal cast in 58 mm, Kienast 152—MARRIED IN WAR (Kriegsgetraut)—was produced as a stock piece for couples wed during the upheaval of 1914. The obverse includes a shield intentionally left blank for engraving the names of the bride and groom, making each piece uniquely personal.
The reverse carries the inscription: "With God for Emperor and country 1914." A striking artifact capturing both devotion and duty at the dawn of the First World War.
